RobSimulation use in vehicle interiors for functional vehicle protection

Offlineprogramming using RobSimulation has already been successfully utilised in the planning of complex continuous door cycles. Several robots must simultaneously perform complex processes such as unlocking the door handles in the interior and exterior and then open and close the door with specified parameters. RobSimulation was used to plan the paths and points of attack of the robots interms of accessibility and possible collisions with the vehicle or with eachother. This makes it possible to find the optimum robot position, particularlyin interior areas. The simulation also made it possible to estimate the required torques of the robot and plan the required tools before the real component was available for the test bench

Using CAD data and the desired measuring positions, the measuring cell could be set up virtually at Battenberg and the measuring sequence created according to customer specifications. The measurement task could then be transferred to the real robot at the customer's premises and the quality inspection carried out directly.

Virtual commissioning can be carried out either as a Battenberg service or entirely on the customer's premises.
