Control panels from the aircraft cockpit
Battenberg Robotic Measuring operates the switches and rotary actuators and measures, analyses and evaluates quality features.
Control panels from the aircraft cockpit
The Battenberg Robotic Measuring tests switches and rotary actuators in the laboratory or in production, tests with reproducible measurement methods to obtain high-precision measurement values
Battenberg Robotic Measuring performs movements with special haptic tools and measures, analyses and evaluates the operating forces involved. Measurement processes are created by defining robot movements, measurement, analysis and evaluation actions in advance. Battenberg Robotic Measuring reproduces the measurement runs in the laboratory or in production. This results in precise, validatable and comparable measurement results.
By using force sensors and special haptic tools
The Battenberg measuring robot moves switches and rotary actuators in all desired directions using special haptic tools and synchronously records the force and path of the operators.
Analysis and evaluation of quality characteristics such as the average or maximum force when moving the switches and rotary actuators. For switches and rotary actuators, the force-path profile is measured, analyzed and evaluated according to individual target specifications. Speed and contact force can be freely adjusted to parameterize the measurement process.
Testing of robotic measuring to ensure quality and function
The measurement robots are specified and defined as a measurement reference in order to create a clear basis for decision-making for the final product evaluation and its approval.
The measurement robots are specified and defined as a measurement reference in order to create a clear basis for decision-making for the final product evaluation and approval. Recognized and valued as a benchmark to meet the OEMs' and suppliers' acceptance scenario and to verify test results in accordance with contracted product specifications, with the aim of accepting the manufacturing quality of the product. Our factory standards and validations guarantee accurate product quality ratings, which are confirmed by our clients' auditors.
Quality assurance for global customers from the automotive, medical, aviation and lifestyle industries
The Battenberg Robotic Measuring is already being used by many OEMs and their suppliers as a standard and reference in quality assurance.
A wide range of global customers from the automotive, medical, aviation and lifestyle industries, such as BMW, VW, Audi, Ford, Daimler, Continental, Forvia, Hella, B. Braun, P&G and Lufthansa rely on the Battenberg Robotic Measuring. We export our robotic measurement systems worldwide and offer service and maintenance for them.
The joint project of Lufthansa Technik & Battenberg ROBOTIC
The first Battenberg robotic measurement system for cockpit testing of switches, rotary actuators and luminance in the aviation industry was jointly designed, developed and then put into operation in 2016.
The scope of the project was the development, construction, assembly, delivery and installation of a testing system for the automated testing of control panels from the aircraft cockpit. The objective was to carry out haptic and optical tests automatically, increase performance, and reproducibility and archiving of measurement results. The predefined tests, such as that of force and path or torque and angle while operating the operating elements (push buttons, rocker arms and rotary actuator with pull and push function) or the qualitative color differentiation (lighting is red or green) and the functional lighting of keys, were carried out with a measuring robot that was able to measure forces and moments using a haptic module. The control elements were operated with a suitable haptic tool. The optical tests were carried out using suitable camera systems, which could be placed accordingly within the testing system and on the measuring robot. The measuring robot, including technology, was located in a mobile robotic measurement platform, which could be manually darkened for optical testing.
