Measure the forces that occur, such as door unlocking force, force-path characteristic when opening and closing, or quasi-static closing force when pressing into the lock.
Use of force sensors and special tools
Battenberg Robotic Measuring has force sensors and opens and closes the doors and flaps with a special tool.
The force-path curve is measured and the door unlocking force can therefore be determined. The quasi-static closing force is also determined by pressing the ajar door or flap into the lock. From the measured force-path curve, you can determine the closing force and the characteristic door brake curve. By calibrating the robotic measuring into your vehicle coordinate system, the hinge axis position of the door or the flap can be determined. In the addition test, the closing speed is determined as a function of the closing energy over the entire closing process. By repeating the trigger test while varying the closing energy and closing speed, the minimum closing energy or the minimum closing speed required to lock the door or flap can be determined.
